Governor Rotimi Akeredolu ordered the immediate integration into the public
service of all volunteer health workers on the frontlines of state coronavirus
management. He also accepted the payment as a hazard benefit of 50 percent of
all health workers’ salaries.

state on Monday that he made the directives. He said, “I’ve guided the
immediate absorption of the staff at the Infectious Disease Hospital and those
associated with the Disease Monitoring team as volunteers into public service.
approved that all Health workers in the state be paid 50% of their consolidated
basic salary as hazard allowance. All healthcare workers working directly in
the Isolation Centre/Treatment Centre are to get an additional 20% of their 50%
as special risk allowance.”
clarified that 276 tests, including 13 positive cases and three recoveries,
have been carried out so far, leaving 10 active patients undergoing care at
IDH, Igbatoro Lane, Akure.
