Governor Uzodinma, however, frowned at
the level of violation of government directives by the Imo people, expressing
displeasure at the addition of index cases of coronavirus to the state.

He vowed to implement more stringent
steps to limit the transmission of the virus if citizens were to disobey the

In the meantime, he has instructed
state security agents to improve monitoring at various national borders,
ensuring that international travel remains banned in the state.
