allegedly violating lockdown directive by the Federal Government in the last
week to stem the spread of Covid-19.

that the violators were arrested at various points within Kano metropolis and
were prosecuted in the newly 11 mobile courts inaugurated by the Kano state
government.

the police, in collaboration with other security agencies, have been deployed
to guard all the entry points across the state to monitor and ensure strict.

The PPRO also
advised citizens to comply with the Presidential lockdown order and to exercise
strictly physical distancing, washing hands under running water with soap or
using a hand sanitizer to remain clean.
