while decorating thirty-three zone officers at Zone 6 headquarters in Calabar,
urged them to develop strategies that would ensure taming of crime and criminal
activities in the area.

officers promoted and reminded them that much is expected of those to whom much

Thirty one inspectors were promoted to
the rank of assistant police superintendent, while the Inspector General of
Police promoted two assistant police superintendents to police superintendents.

However, the AIG had promised that the
zone under his watch would not tolerate indolence, saying that all the officers
promoted would have to prove their mettle.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted
