Fulham returned to the Premier League,
following a 2-1 win over Brentford in the Championship play-off final.
Joe Bryan’s brace in extra time was
enough to send the Craven Cottage back into the topflight.
There were no goals in a tense, tepid
90 minutes between the two sides.
However, Bryan, who had scored only
once before the game on Tuesday, broke the deadlock in the 105th minute with a
clever free-kick.
The left-back added another in the 117th minute, finishing off a
fine team goal.
Brentford grabbed a late consolation, but will now spend another
season in England’s second tier.
Fulham were relegated from the Premier League in the 2018/2019
campaign.
