Barcelona
defender, Gerard Pique, has called for changes in the club, following their
humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich on Friday night.
The
LaLiga side have been eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-final
stage for the second time in three years.
“This
club needs changes, and I don’t mean the manager, or any specific players. I
don’t want to single anyone out. It needs changes.
“This
is the bottom,” Pique told reporters shortly after the game.
Thomas
Muller opened the scoring in the 4th minute, but David Alaba’s own goal made it
1-1.
Bayern
responded in ruthless fashion, scoring three times before the half-time
whistle. Ivan Perisic, Serge Muller and Muller got the goals.
Luis
Suarez pulled one back for the LaLiga side, but again, Joshua Kimmich, Robert
Lewandowski and Philippe Coutinho (twice) restored the Bavarians’ commanding
lead.
